Nightingale is not known to many as a kind, tolerable, and peaceful void elf. The Void has claimed him, marred him, twisted him into a creature Quel'Thalas has feared; something even he himself dreads. He was named Fale'Asha by Quel'Thalas, better known as Nightstalker in common.
Despite being the experiment of a High elven paladin zealot, Nightingale has lived on as a vindicator for the ren'dorei. He has learned to be merciless, grotesque, and unforgiving--any obsessive mask he can maintain to cling to the scraps of his dignity, of who he was before madness.
